On June 15, 2016, Greyston will host its Annual Gala at X20 Xavier’s on the Hudson. The evening cocktail party, which begins at 6:30 p.m., will highlight the success of Open Hiring and honor the Yonkers community, core to all Greyston programs. Special honorees at this year’s benefit are Sobeida Cruz, Founder of Charter School of Educational Excellence and Ken Jenkins, Westchester County Legislator.
The event will be a memorable and delicious evening with food prepared by acclaimed chef Peter Kelly. Yonkers Brewing Co. will be providing the beer and Yonkers distillery, Nahmia et Fils has created a special Celebrate Yonkers cocktail to add to X20s already outstanding selection of wines and spirits. Yonkers resident, Joe D’Lando will provide the music to complement this amazing setting. Naturally, there will be decadent Greyston Bakery brownies for dessert, including the newest Vegan Chocolate Fudge Brownie and Snickerdoodle Blondie.
Members of the Greyston Community who have made changes in their lives through Open Hiring will share their inspiring experiences and guests will have a chance to partake in a silent auction featuring items from the likes of Ben & Jerry’s, Winston and Son Jewelers, Yonkers Brewing Co., Shakespeare in the Park, Sound Associates and many more.
