This gorgeous bouquet created by Whispering Pines in 2012 helped lend an additional festive feeling to a most memorable 10th year anniversary milestone party for The Inside Press that was celebrated with a couple hundred guests at Crabtree’s Kittle House. Owner Beth Kuck-Hundgen playfully included the publisher’s 10th year anniversary cover in the vase too.

Stress Relief via a Facial…and Goodbye Winter Dryness too
I don’t get facials very often; when I have time and feeling solvent in my single existence (or when I finally cave in from stress overload), I’ll usually opt for something that also attends to my poor aching back. However, this time, my face was truly feeling the impact of this long, hard winter. I know I don’t have to explain that. Phyllis DeFreeze performed the traditional European facial and you will all have to excuse me for not taking notes during this precious hour of pure escape (rather defeats the purpose). Suffice it to say that the state of relaxation took me through another busy day and my goal of relieving dryness felt more than met upon touching my new shiny punim (Yiddish for face).

16 Ensembles Convey Sandy Hapoienu’s Signature Unpretentious, Eclectic Style

It wasn’t long after I launched Inside Chappaqua Magazine that I had the good fortune of meeting Sandy Hapoienu and discovering her superior styling skills. Sandy has styled several features for us including a most memorable one, the Flood Sisters, whose work saving lives formed the basis for a February cover story. After watching Sandy’s career “take off” both in the freelance realm and at Bloomingdales, it wasn’t surprising for me to hear that Sandy was hosting a Fashion Event Run at Neiman Marcus in White Plains.
Sandy personally scoured the department store at The Westchester and chose coveted designer brand dresses, separates, accessories and shoes to create 16 ensembles, each possessing Sandy’s distinct unpretentious signature.
