Top Ten reasons why Discover Camp is the enrichment camp for children with a variety of interests.

March 4, 2012 by The Inside Press

Top Ten reasons why Discover Camp is the enrichment camp for children with a variety of interests. With over 80 classes we have something for every child.

  1. “Discover Camp is quite simply, the best camp in Westchester” -parent 2009
  2.  Happy Camper GUARANTEE
No other camp will give you 100% refund if our child doesn’t love camp. We will and no one has ever asked for a refund!
  3. The Best Teachers
The majority of Discover Camp’s teachers are NYS certified teachers. Our other instructors have degrees and experience in their chosen fields.
  4. Incredible Student to Adult Ratios
Every classroom is made up of a teacher and one to two assistants. We typically have a ratio of 5-1.
  5. Dynamic Directors
Camp Owner Anthony Rich and Assistant Directors Anthony Melendez and David O’Neil are active, well respected public school teachers with more than 50 years combined teaching experience.
  6. All Children need Enrichment
We encourage differentiation of curriculum to meet a wide range of student abilities. We believe that all children excel when provided with enrichment activities and a supportive environment.
  7. We love Technology
DC is a technology rich camp: We own a Dell laptop lab with 20 computers, one Mac lab with 20 Macs, one  robotics lab with 20 Dell laptops, 12 iPads, and 12 Smart Board.
  8. Children get to choose
Children select their courses and return year after year. Each summer we experienced a 90% camper return ratio.
  9. It’s COOl here
All classrooms and cafeteria are air conditioned. This makes a big defference when summer temperatures hit 100 degrees.
  10. Best Lunch
Without a doubt DC has the best lunches. Our children custom order their lunch everyday. We’ve never met a picky child who didn’t love our lunches.

Open House Dates:
