Music in Chappaqua Offers YoYa: Yoga for the Voice

October 23, 2012 by The Inside Press

Bengi teaching a new voice technique.

GLOBAL WISDOM FROM OUR SPONSORS

Music In Chappaqua is proud to present YoYa, Yoga for the voice, a new exciting program combining the ancient art of Yoga with a unique voice technique. YoYa was developed by Bengi Tasci, a lyric coloratura soprano and vocal instructor at Music in Chappaqua, to strengthen and exercise the vocal cords of students at any age.

Tasci has appeared at the Metropolitan Opera as a soloist and is the winner of prestigious competitions. Tasci believes that specific postures for the vocal chords, like those in yoga, provide the muscle training needed to keep vocal chords healthy and youthful.

For more information on YoYa, contact Janet Angier, director, Music in Chappaqua.
mail@musicinchappaqua.com or call 238-3123.
