Get your breeches and bustles ready – Rooted in Westchester: REV FEST 250 is coming to Westchester County! As the nation reflects on the 250th anniversary of the American Revolution, Westchester County will host REV FEST 250 – a free, immersive weekend experience at Croton Point Park in New York’s scenic Hudson Valley on September 27–28, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
A contemporary look at a historical moment, REV FEST 250 tells the story of the American Revolution from multiple perspectives – patriots, loyalists, and those caught in between. Through reenactments, drills, music, and interactive demonstrations, attendees will be transported into a living 18th-century world that makes the past feel relatable.
Ever seen a cavalry charge on horseback? Now’s your chance. Ever wondered how anyone navigated without Google Maps? Find out at a Revolutionary-era map-making demo at REV FEST 250’s 18th-century historic encampment. While you’re there, you’ll be able to explore other hands-on demos and traditional crafts like blacksmithing, basket weaving, and woodworking.
Visitors will also have the opportunity to participate in drills and meet costumed historical reenactors including Benedict Arnold; John André; Deborah Sampson, who disguised herself to join the Continental Army; and Black soldiers who were both loyalists and patriots.
Music and storytelling will be enjoyed throughout the grounds. Attendees can raise their voices at the Hamilton Sing-Along, experience the magic of The Westchester Symphonic Winds, and be mesmerized by the storytelling of Jonathan Kruk.
REV FEST 250 is a part of Westchester’s official Semiquincentennial (250th) commemoration of the American Revolution, and highlights Westchester’s important and often overlooked role in the war. The event is a major anchor in a broader regional campaign that will culminate in a dramatic 2026 reenactment of the Battle of White Plains.
