Not everyone who is depressed experiences every symptom. Some people experience a few symptoms, some many. The severity of symptoms varies with individuals and also varies over time. Recognizing the symptoms is key. Unfortunately, half the people that have depression never get it diagnosed or treated. If your depression goes untreated, it can lead to pain and possibly suicide. If you or someone you know is struggling with depression your regular doctor is a good place to start. They can screen you for depression and help you manage your symptoms.
