Bring your Dog to this Special Event Featuring Dog and Cat Adoptions, Contests for Dogs and their Owners, Pet Portrait Photography by Geoff Tischman, and Prizes and Special Treats from Pets a Go Go Doggie Day Spa

BRIARCLIFF MANOR, NY (July 2012) – The Club at Briarcliff Manor, Westchester’s premier senior living community currently under development, is teaming up with The SPCA of Westchester to present Pet-a-Palooza at The Club, a fun-filled afternoon for pet lovers to be held Thursday, July 26.

This community event, which will run from 2- 4 pm, will be held at The Club’s Information and Design Center at 25 Scarborough Road, Briarcliff Manor. Come with your dog and socialize with other pet lovers at Pet-a-Palooza at The Club, featuring complimentary refreshments for dogs and their owners, including a special canine ice cream stand. Play with puppies and consider a dog or cat adoption through The SPCA of Westchester. You can enter your dog in contests for Best Dog Trick, Most Obedient Dog, and Friendliest Dog. Winners will receive prizes provided by Pets a Go Go, the new doggie day care, spa and resort located across from the SPCA on North State Road in Briarcliff Manor.

Pet-a-Palooza at The Club will also feature professional portrait photographer Geoff Tischman, who will take photos of your dog with family members. Sitting fees of $25 for the portraits will be donated to the SPCA.

The SPCA of Westchester, which is located in Briarcliff Manor, will bring its air-conditioned adoption van to the event. Dogs and cats will be available for adoption throughout the afternoon.

In the weeks leading up to the event, The Club at Briarcliff will post information and host a photo contest on its Facebook page http://Facebook.com/TheClubBCM. Enter your pet to be voted best dressed, funniest, best smile, most attitude and most expressive eyes, among other categories, by Facebook visitors and staff members of The Club and The SPCA of Westchester.

The SPCA is the only humane society in Westchester County empowered to enforce laws relating to animal cruelty. The SPCA receives no federal, state, or county funds, and relies solely on the financial support of people who care about the welfare of animals.

Located on the former site of King’s College and the historic Briarcliff Lodge, The Club at Briarcliff Manor is a fee-for-service continuing care retirement community currently under development featuring 325 spacious apartments, townhomes and villas with best-in-class services and amenities. The Club offers a variety of entrance fee refund programs with pricing starting at $419,900. For more information about how you can put a plan in place for as little as $10,000 at The Club at Briarcliff Manor, please call 914.923.4050 or visit online at www.TheClubBCM.com.
