Saturday night’s event will feature the music of The Rolling Stones, David Bowie, The Black Crowes, The Band, Bob Dylan, Badfinger, Stevie Wonder, Mott the Hoople, John Mellencamp, The Allman Bros, and The Who. Also included are tributes to Lou Reed, Levon Helm, Pete Ham, Duane Allman, and John Entwistle.

According to band leader, Mike Corso, “Natterjack Toad always looks forward to gathering our friends and neighbors from the community for an outstanding evening of music and libations but this year’s performance is especially important to us as we will be paying tribute to those who have left such a strong legacy and inspire us to keep jammin’ until we draw our final breaths.”

Corso continues: “We will be playing our hearts out and sharing a ’70’s basement’ vibe that we’ve been feeling for the past few weeks (while rehearsing in my…basement). Additionally, we’re grateful to Paulie’s for making their home ours and treating our fans with fantastic food and drink specials for this night only: $5 drafts of Captain Lawrence and $5 martinis!”

Be the Happy in Someone’s Holiday This Year

November 14, 2013 by The Inside Press

janice good50th Anniversary of MHA Westchester’s Operation Holiday Joy

“I was amazed when I received the gifts I asked for! It was the best holiday I’ve had in a long long time. I will never forget it.” –Note from an MHA Holiday Joy recipient

Join MHA Westchester to make the holidays brighter for individuals, children and their families who would not receive—or be able to purchase—gifts if it weren’t for Operation Holiday Joy.  For 50 years, MHA has helped its neediest by gathering their personal wish lists, matching them to donors, and delivering the new clothing, toys, food and household items in time for the holidays.  It’s a tradition that brings joy to both receiver and giver.

There are many ways to help.  You can sponsor an individual or family and purchase items from their wish list; make a financial contribution and have MHA staff do the shopping; purchase food, clothing, household items or toys that MHA will match to a child or family; or donate store gift cards.  MHA’s holiday gift drive is a great opportunity for groups – schools, churches, synagogues, a department at work—to collectively shop to bring cheer to others.  For more information, call 914-265-7511or e-mail development@mhawestchester.org.

MHA is a community-based non-profit mental health agency that has been helping Westchester County residents for 67.  MHA supports more than 18,000 individuals annually through a comprehensive array of mental health services for all ages at licensed mental health clinics, at home or at a community location.  MHA strives to help each individual to achieve their personal goals and to lead independent lives in the community.  For more information, visit www.mhawestchester.org
