The Fresh Juice Bar Era

April 10, 2014 by The Inside Press

juiceshopIt’s not the kind of bar that comes in a wrapper, but the kind with bar stools, blenders, super health boosting herbal supplements, AND conveniently healthy! During the past few years, the juice bar has nuzzled its way into the American lunch and snack crowds, setting up shop in airports and shopping malls, even edging into conventional and fast food eateries in some parts of the country. It’s a phenomenon created by the baby boomers who realize that what they put in their bodies is going to make a difference in how their bodies stay healthier. It is also about recognizing that fast foods, while convenient, are not particularly good for the body. Juice bars aim to offer both the health benefits along with the convenience.

Fresh Juice Vs. Bottled

Juicing is all the rage these days, clearly evident by all the juice available in bottles at the supermarket and health food stores. But no matter how cold pressed, unpasteurized, unheated they are, fresh juice will always be more bio-available, better tasting, higher in nutrients, and full of living enzymes.

The digestive system is in itself a very efficient juice machine. From teeth to intestine, your digestive track reduces the nutrients in foods to a liquid form, small enough for the tiny villi that line the intestinal wall to absorb the liquefied nutrients into the bloodstream. These nutrients are then transported to every cell of your body.
