The Music Conservatory of Westchester, a not-for-profit music school in White Plains, recently held its first Community Music Week, offering tours of their facility, free classes, and group lesson observations. Classes included Music Skills (K – 3rd grade),Adult/Youth Chorus, Jazz and Rock Jam, Brass Ensemble, World Percussion, Intro to Piano, Musical Theatre (Teen/Youth), String Ensemble, and Chamber Strings. Based on the success of the inaugural Community Music Week, another one is planned for some time during the spring semester.
