Giant Menorah Lighting, December 9

December 5, 2012 by The Inside Press

Giant Menorah Lighting: December 9, 5 p.m., Senter St!

A giant Menorah lighting will take place on Sunday, December 9 at 5 p.m. in front of the New Castle Community Center at 10 Senter Street in Chappaqua.

Each year, all are welcome! Bring your family and friends to participate in the lighting and in Chanukah arts and crafts, music–and also to enjoy chocolate “gelt” and an overall great
Chanukah spirit. A unique Chanukah themed Magic Show will follow this event!

“In these difficult times when the forces of darkness seem so strong, we remember the story and victory of Chanukah and add an extra measure of light,” stated Rabbi Yosef Butman of the Chabad of Armonk/Chappaqua. “We give strength to the menorah’s universal message of light over darkness, freedom and liberty over oppression, doing all we can to increase our acts of goodness and kindness, making this world a better place for all people.”

This will be the 10th year Chabad has hosted the outdoor Menorah lighting in Chappaqua.
