I write this on a toasty summer’s day, having just left a fundraiser for Swim Across America, reminded of how fortunate I am to be a member of such a compassionate community with wonderful resources too, including four beautiful pool clubs!* The opportunities for fun and friendship here are nothing short of phenomenal, so producing Inside my New Castle has turned into a special source of pride for me. I launched Inside Chappaqua in 2003 to regularly cover area stories but
it was in the spirit of producing something “comprehensive” that I proposed an all-encompassing guide to Town Hall. To my delight, the town board green lighted this most unique collaboration. Our area’s rich array of quality cultural, commercial, civic and nature offerings, its proximity to the city, the safety and security I feel, my professional role in the community–and most of all, the friends I have made and family memories I cherish–make it home, sweet home for me.
